About Me:

Hey, I’m Ranger! 

I may not see the world the way most dogs do, but that’s never stopped me from living it to the fullest!

I’m a medium-sized German Shepherd cross, and I was found right in the middle of a busy road, running in frantic little circles. Luckily, my new mommy from Special Paws Sanctuary spotted me and just knew something wasn’t right. She scooped me up and took me straight to the vet, where they discovered I was both blind and deaf.

With time, love, and care, I got my hearing back (yay!), but my sight never returned. You’d never guess it though – people are always shocked to find out I’m blind because I zoom around like a total pro. As long as nothing in the house or yard gets moved suddenly (seriously, that throws me off!), I navigate my world like a champ using my superpowered ears and nose.

I do have one tiny quirk: when I hear cars, I get the zoomies BIG time! So I’ll need a home where the yard is securely fenced and separate from the driveway, safety first! Oh, and about little humans… when I’m excited and in full-speed zoom-mode, I sometimes turn them into unintentional speed bumps. So, no small kids for me, please.

What I’m looking for is someone who sees past what I lack, and sees all the love, joy, and silly energy I have to give. If you can offer me a safe, understanding home filled with patience and playtime, I’ll be the most loyal and fun-loving friend you could ever imagine.
